Snarkitecture x Central Embassy – Tilting Forest

2 May – 2 June ’19

snark-1500x700

Let’s kickstart the celebration of our 5th anniversary with our first global collaboration of the year with the come back of SNARKITECTURE.

Join us for the world debut of “TILTING FOREST”, an interactive art installation where everyone is invited to explore the forest of inspiration.

TILTING FOREST

TILTING FOREST is an interactive installation by Snarkitecture where visitors are invited to explore a landscape of tilting cones.

As visitors engage with the cones, they slowly tilt and sway, transforming the environment into a living forest. Fallen cones serve as moveable,

stackable seating while spectators on the floors above are presented with a shifting field that rises through the atrium. The forest becomes a bobbing,

swaying landscape that activates a collective experience of color and play.

ABOUT SNARKITECTURE

Snarkitecture is a New York-based collaborative design practice established to investigate the boundaries between disciplines.

The name is drawn from Lewis Carroll’s The Hunting of The Snark, a poem describing the “impossible voyage of an improbable crew to find an inconceivable creature.”

In its search for the unknown, Snarkitecture creates work that includes large-scale projects, installations and objects.

Snarkitecture’s work focuses on the reinterpretation of everyday materials, structures and programs to new and imaginative effect.

With a conceptual approach centered on the importance of experience, the studio creates unexpected and memorable moments that invite people to explore and engage with their surroundings.
