Tom Ford announces the opening of a new TOM FORD store in Bangkok. Scheduled to open in May 2014, the freestanding store is located inside the Bangkok Central Embassy complex on Ploenchit Road. Located in Ploenchit road, Bangkok’s new luxury retail district connected to Central Chidlom, the TOM FORD store at the Central Embassy will offer the complete collection of TOM FORD Menswear and Womenswear, including shoes, eyewear, and accessories, as well as the TOM FORD Beauty collection of fragrances and cosmetics. Upon entering the Bangkok store, clients will discover an elegant environment designed to express Mr. Ford’s personal design aesthetic. It has the feel of a beautifully appointed private home steeped in soft modernism, formal symmetry and timeless luxury. It is beautifully outfitted in the designer’s signature monochromepalettes of pale gray and deep brown tones, accented with chrome and glass. The architecture is anchored in the formal enfilade style: A series of salons unfolds on a single axis, providing a view through the entire suite of rooms. Clients enter the store through a blackened steel entryway and enter a salon with gray walls, a Blue de Savoie marble floor, gray mist mirrors and Macassar ebony details.

Women’s handbags and accessories and men’s luggage and small leather goods are displayed in glass and chrome vitrines and high-gloss lacquer accessory units. This leads to a shoe salon for women and men and a perfumery and eyewear salon with white marble floors and an ebony perfume table. A large salon presents the TOM FORD Menswear collection of sportswear and suiting in an atmosphere of refined and comfortable masculinity. The salon is furnished with gray walls and gray wool carpeting, brown velvet sofas, beaver fur rugs, antique bronze lamp, Macassar ebony wood wardrobes and fixtures, and also features a sculpture by the American artist JoAnne Patterson. A fitting room with light gray, ultrasuede walls and antique bronze mirrors completes the sumptuous and refined effect. The store’s final salon is dedicated to the TOM FORD Womenswear collection for day and evening. It is a glamorous feminine environment of light gray walls with mirror and chrome fixtures and an exquisite seating area featuring a silver silk sofa.
